I’m creating a slippery map that will run off of a usb stick or cd (client request). I’m able to load up the map, display pre-cooked tiles and some some simple vectors. The client would like some more interactivity and the level of detail they want (cell values from rasters) is far to large for json files. I’ve made UTF grids using tilestache and have created a directory for them in the same folder as the map html. However, the UTF grids wont display and i suspect it is because it violates the same-origin policy, so my questions are as follows:
- Can i access and dispaly UTF grids in local storage without a server?
- Is there another route i should be taking other than UTF grids?
